If you can’t afford getting your MMA fanatic friend (me) a trip to an actual UFC fight you can get them the next best thing; an action figure. Might even be a better gift considering the fact that they’ll be able to keep it with them at all times. Who wouldn’t want to have a knuckle-stretching Wanderlei Silva ready to throw in their pocket when walking through a dark alley. I guess their strongest sales proposition is that they wont burn a hole in your wallet, which has to be considered as a good thing.

Georges St. Pierre versus B.J. Penn. One of the biggest fights in the history of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts was today blessed with its official fight poster. By its mere aesthetics it truly does a great job of conveying the magnitude of this event. Ironically enough, for one of the most anticipated events to ever be held under the UFC flag, this poster has been completely stripped of all the usual excessive graphical elements that literally haunt UFC graphics and detract attention from the main event. This is a huge contrast compared to the UFC graphics designers previous work (if it’s even the same people, which I highly doubt). Regardless, the minimalistic theme is definetely a home-run.
